I think my foundation result is going to come out by next week. I’m so scare to look at my result, if didn’t do well in this exam it means I can’t continue my degree which will be going to start on next month. Due to my curiosity, I did some research about my course to make sure that the course that I choose is suitable for me.
Today, while I’m reading The Star newspaper the job street column hardly for me to find a vacancy job for Public Relations practioner. Is there any job vacancy for this course or they will just employ people who graduated in this course? I only saw the Copy Writer job vacancy which is the only familiar from what I studied in my foundation course. I got a shock when I saw more Graphic Design job vacancy compare to PR job. I think Graphic Design job is more needed by the market compare to PR job.
Next, the most jobs I saw from the newspaper were Admin, Senior Accountant, Lecturers, Engineers and the other business courses. At this moment, most of the companies want to employ people who major in business courses such as Business Admin, Accountancy, Marketing, Human Resource and others. People who studied in this course may be able to easily get a job compare to Social Science field. Other than that, they can get more opportunity compare to get increment.
Besides that, most of the company want to employ people who can do multi task for their job. They even wrote in the requirement column for their employee. Basically, all the employees who being employed need to perform multi task in their job performance. Or not they can’t get increment and their bosses may not be able to see their performance. So in the future when we go out to work, we need to be more and more multi task. So choose the right course.
